Bruce Brewer: A Legacy of Advocacy and Compassion
Legal Education and Credentials
Bruce Brewer’s legal journey began with his graduation from the University of Oregon School of Law in 1992, leading to his immediate admission to practice law across all state courts in Oregon. His credentials expanded to include the U.S. District Court for the District of Oregon and the Ninth Circuit Court of Appeals.
Early Career and Personal Connection
Bruce started his legal career with Oregon Legal Services, advocating for Supplemental Security Income applicants. His personal encounter with a life-altering orthopedic injury has given him a profound empathy for his clients, as he has lived through the very challenges those we help face.
Throughout his 30-year tenure, Bruce has contributed his expertise to four civil injury/disability law firms. While Social Security Disability law remains his primary focus, his practice has also encompassed workers’ compensation, personal injury, medical malpractice, and product liability cases.
Advocacy and Litigation
Unyielding in his pursuit of justice, Bruce has a storied history of taking on the Social Security Administration in Federal Court to defend the rights of his clients. His impressive record includes hundreds of successful lawsuits against the SSA.
Current Role at Evans Disability
Bruce’s role as Of Counsel for Evans Disability is complemented by a robust Federal Court practice where he continues to represent clients in appeals independently. His vast experience includes over 1,000 Social Security Disability hearings and numerous Federal District and Circuit Court appeals.
Away from the courtroom, Bruce is an avid traveler, scuba diver, blues guitarist, and an active family member and friend to many around the globe. His varied interests reflect the depth and diversity of his character.
Evans Disability celebrates the immense expertise and dedication that Bruce brings to our team, benefiting countless clients with his seasoned advocacy.
