H. Peter Evans graduated from California Western School of Law in 2000 and was admitted to practice law in Oregon in 2001. Early in his career, Peter worked for the hearing office of the Social Security Administration. The experience gave him great insight into the ins and outs of the Social Security claims process. He then worked as an In-House Counsel for a local entertainment company, then he moved to the Public Defenders’ Office in Eastern Oregon.

John Edward Cahill, III, Attorney
John “Jack” Cahill is a native of Brockton, Massachusetts. He is a graduate of Bowdoin College and the New England School of Law. He was a lawyer for the Commonwealth of Massachusetts before entering private practice in his hometown and in Boston for fourteen years.
Isabella Baez, Attorney
Isabella grew up in Indiana before moving to Oregon after graduating from the University of Redlands in 2016 with a Global Business Degree. While at the University of Redlands, Isabella played collegiate soccer and lacrosse. She also studied Mandarin, Chinese and studied abroad in Beijing, China for a semester. She then decided to pursue a law degree and attended the University of North Carolina, Chapel Hill School of Law and obtained her Juris Doctor. Isabella was then admitted to the Oregon State Bar in October of 2020.
Bruce Brewer, Attorney
Bruce began his career working for Oregon Legal Services representing Social Security Disability and Supplemental Security Income applicants. Having once been a disability applicant himself due to a life-changing orthopedic injury, he is imbued with compassion for his clients as he understands firsthand the struggles that disability applicants endure.

After spending nearly 45 years representing claimants before the Social Security Administration, Mr. Sly retired from the practice of law on 12/31/2020. Mr. Sly was an amazing man, who lived an amazing life and it’s with sadness that he passed on June 30, 2022. Mr. Sly’s spirit, knowledge and presence will always be a big part of Evans Disability. We continue to celebrate all that he has done for his clients, his community, this firm and his wonderful family.
